Don't recall ever one starting a hibachi place but this one had one star before I was even seated. Came right when the opened. Waited almost ten minutes to even be acknowledged by any of the many staff milling about. Asked for a table at the grill and the hostess just wanted to sit and argue about being served at the bar was exactly the same. So put off I just walked out. Lots of other great places in the area. Give this one a pass.

The food was good. The chef was excellent . I would recommend to any large group of people who want to go out to eat.

Out waiter was very nice and helpful. The food was fantastic and it was incredibly fun watching them making it. It came at a great price and I would definitely go back again.

This place never disappoints. They serve good food for convenient prices, there are no long waits even when the place is busy.

Phenomenal! I got the Indian Colts Roll and I will say, it’s a new favorite. I will definitely be coming back. Hands down the best sushi in town.

We have been here many times and it was great until tonight. We ordered the Hibachi Chicken. My husband and kids ordered it and all felt it tasted spoiled. The manager refused to take it off our bill and accused of us trying to get out of our bill. Won’t be back here. Seems like all restaurants in Avon are going downhill.

Decent serving from waiter. The cheif was decent but seemed to speed up on the cooking. Serving proportions were not balanced at all. Also the ceiling had a hole letting all the cold air go in the room.

Use to love this place.. Since it has changed owners, it has really gone down hill. The food is just bland no flavor. When you request to add more sauces for flavor, they look at you dumb. I can stay home and fix a plain steak, colored rice and steamed veggies.Decided to give another try. Used to be my favorite restaurant. Go to a Japanese restaurant for some Japanese flavor and nothing. Bland food is all you get here. Meat gets a little salt and pepper. Pay extra for fried rice and you just get reheated steam rice colored brown. Cannot see wasting my time going here again for bland decorated food.

I'm a big fan of hibachi, especially when the chef is particularly comical and the food is worth the drive. We've been to Hirosaki Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar twice and it still remains our favorite of the hibachi style restaurants in West Indy. The chefs are very talented...both in entertainment AND cuisine prep. Steaks and chicken are cooked perfectly, and there always seems to be a few delectable shrimp leftover for me (after my wife gets hers...of course). The pie'ce de re'sistance (since I can't figure how to make that fancy 'e') is the amazing Tempura Cheesecake. The crust itself is a delicacy, but couple it with the fried cheesecake inside and OMG...it's the stuff dreams are made of...food dreams, of course. If you want an exceptional dinner-and-a-show meal, Hirosaki Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar is the place to go...and you don't have to buy expensive tickets for the entertainment. It's INCLUDED! :-D

Cool atmosphere for families, birthdays and the like. The chefs are engaging and will crack a joke or two. The selection of sushi and sashimi are pretty good and prepared well. Staff are all smiles all the time and the owner stops by your table to see how your experience was.

First off the filet and shrimp were very good and so was the fried rice. Second if you order with doordash for a pickup order, they still seem to make an extra charge of 2ish dollars.

My party and I were having a great time until the manager decided to ask if we needed boxes. We felt extremely rushed as she picked up our plates and dumped them into to-go boxes. Collectively we spent roughly 40 min eating for a party of 6. The food was great, but the manager was not very well mannered.

Really excellent Hibachi! Great quality meats and flavors in the rice and vegetables.

Habachi is pretty good no complaints, sushi is beautifully made and tastes amazing!

Went out with my friends and they took me here. My first time visit. Nice atmosphere. They had a special on sushi half off. I thought, sure I'll try it. I like sushi and half off sushi is a good deal....NOPE! I got so sick that night I couldn't even sleep and had to call in to work the next day! DON'T GET THE HALF PRICE SUSHI!!!!

The food is always delicious. The hibachi chefs are usually entertaining. I also love the sushi. However the sushi prices are high so I recommend going on Tuesday or Wednesday when its half off. The staff is always friendly. The only reason Im not giving 5 * is due to the cleanliness. Its not dirty, just needs a deep cleaning.

Excellent sushi and wonderful service. Happy and friendly staff made my wife and I feel at home in a new experience. Highly recommend!

This place is a bit tricky to get to but well worth it. They have 50% off sushi on Tues & Wed, I believe. Great food. Such kind wait staff and chefs. Love them and this place! Highly recommend.

I admire this place! They provide great food, their menu is decent, The cook in that spot is well trained, I love a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are consistently fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the clients is efficient. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it with no hesitation.

I've been coming here for years and I've always been very pleased with the quality of sushi. The service for the sushi bar has always been below par, but the quality/value makes up for it. For the first time today, I ordered sushi to go. I was really disappointed in the size/quality of the sushi to go. While I understand it's packaged and presented quite differently, it was drastically smaller than we usually receive. Really disappointing to see such a drastic drop in quality.

Great food and excellent service. We had a large party for our traditional Christmas dinner and was pleasantly surprised by Hirosaki. We have previously gone to another establishment, but have been converted and will definitely bring our future business here!

This is my absolute favorite place for sushi and hibachi. All of my kids love it too :)

Decided to eat some place different and selected this place due to the ratings. WOW, what a wonderful experience!! It started at the time we opened the door with immediate service from the hostess. The waitress was absolutely delightful and the grill master was entertaining. The sushi and hibachi were mouth watering. The couple that was seated with us recommended the eel sauce which has became a new favorite. We all decided that we would definitely go back.

I feel like I just got ripped off. I came her of February 16th and dined in am ordered the UFO sushi. I got 6 pieces for $10.50 before tax. It was so good I decided to go pick some up to go after I got off work tonight. For the same price of $10.50 I only got 4 pieces. Not pleased.

Great place for a birthday dinner.

We went just for the sushi. It was very good and the service was great. We tried the spicy crab roll, tempura shrimp roll and the Philly roll. We had chicken and vegetable tempura appetizer. All very good. I will have to remember to go on Wednesday or Thursday the sushi is half price.

Drinks were great! Soup tastes like... turkey broth. That's ok if you're into that kind of thing. Meal was fine overall.

I usually love this place for my sushi but got the hibachi this time and the rice was undercooked and very crunchy. I ordered through doordash so not sure if they just didn't care this time or what. Very frustrating to spend $50 on poor food.

The food was great and service was quick. We went on Tuesday so it was half off sushi! We ordered calamari, chicken fried rice, Las Vegas roll, dragon roll and two other ones. Forgot to take a photo of the fried rice

It took 20 minutes to even take our drink order. 10 more to take a food order. Once we got everything it was good, but was never checked on again until it was time for the bill and my glass was empty.....we didnt ask and they didnt even offer a discount. Needless to say it's obvious they need to hire more people and itll be a tough choice to go back.

Was seated almost immediately upon walkin in, service was good, chef was average, the soup and salad were ok. Main dish i ordered steak and scallops everything tasted fine. Im used to getting both fried rice and noodles at hibachi not having to choose, also cant add chicken to the fried rice, not even for an upcharge.

I wish there was a lunch hibachi. Food was great. My child's first hibachi experience. Our guy was not as exciting it interactive as the table next to us.

Insanely obsessed with this place. It is a little pricey, but totally worth it. Never too busy either.

We've been before and liked it, but if this was our first experience we wouldn't return. We went for lunch last Saturday for Hibachi. 6 of us... 4 Adults, a toddler and an infant. Each grill seats 8, but they crammed us in with a family of 4 that was already there. The grill next to us was the same...all crammed in. The restaurant seemed dirty. The chairs seemed as if they're never cleaned and we got an overall feeling it's not cleaned like it should be. If they aren't cleaning what you can see, how are they maintaining what you can't see? Our chef was very nice and did a good job, but overall the food was just alright.

Great food. We had a great time having Hibachi being prepared by Chef at your table.

They really have declined. The waitress got the tables order all messed up. Our cook ( can't call him a chef) cooked the veggies first then cooked the meat. By the time the meat got sorted out the veggies were cold. The meats were undercooked. My family will be going to better hibachi houses that cook the meal and it's all still hot, without explaining to the waitress and cook who gets what.

If you love sushi this is the restaurant for you. Great atmosphere and decor. The staff is friendly and attentative. The food is delicious.

Great seafood and sushi. Went on 1/2 Wednesday and enjoyed myself. Had food to take home. I will visit again
